NATIONAL DIGITAL ASSETS COMMISSION REGARDING THE OPERATIONS IN THE COUNTRY OF THE COMPANY LINEWORK

The National Digital Assets Commission (CNAD), in compliance with its legal powers and in its role as the governing authority in matters related to digital assets, pursuant to the Digital Assets Issuance Law, informs the general public:

That the entity named Linework, S.A. de C.V. has not been authorized as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) in El Salvador. This decision follows the technical and legal analysis carried out on the application submitted to CNAD by said entity, where deficiencies were identified, including the following:

  • The company has engaged in promotional activities without meeting the legal and regulatory requirements established by CNAD, such as submitting a business plan that includes operations in El Salvador. Said plan lacked clear justification regarding the business model, jurisdiction of operations, and services offered, among other elements.

  • Non-compliance with national and international standards for Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorism Financing, and Counter-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (AML/CFT/CPF) required to operate in this market.

  • The business model presented did not meet the technological and cybersecurity requirements, and it also lacked the fundamental characteristics of the digital assets intended to be offered.

Since the CNAD’s service pillars are proactive prevention, supervision, and monitoring of the digital assets market, we urge the public to check the Public Registry of Digital Asset Service Providers and stay informed through our official communication channels. We advise interacting and investing in digital assets only with entities duly authorized by this Commission, which can be consulted on our website:
