CNAD obtains international ISO 37001 certification for its anti-bribery prevention system

On February 3, the National Commission of Digital Assets (CNAD) was certified under the international ISO 37001 standard, which recognizes the implementation of a management system focused on the prevention and control of bribery, following an evaluation process carried out by AENOR Central America. The recognition was presented during an institutional event that brought together authorities, technical staff, and representatives of the certifying body.

ISO 37001 validates that the Commission has established clear control mechanisms, internal procedures, and organizational practices aimed at integrity, public ethics, and responsible risk management, in line with international standards. This achievement comes at a key moment for El Salvador, as the country advances in positioning a trustworthy environment for the development of the digital assets ecosystem.

During the event, CNAD President Juan Carlos Reyes stated that the certification responds to an institutional vision consistent with the principles of blockchain technology and with the commitment to apply clear and equitable rules. “Transparency and traceability are not only technological values; they must also be reflected in public administration,” he said.

The certification process included external audits, technical evaluations, and training for all Commission personnel, as part of a cross-cutting effort to strengthen a culture of compliance and good practices.

For its part, AENOR Central America highlighted that the certification reflects a high-level institutional decision and rigorous compliance with the requirements of the standard, underscoring that its international validity supports CNAD’s credibility among national and global stakeholders.

With this recognition, the National Commission of Digital Assets strengthens its institutional framework and reinforces market confidence, reaffirming its commitment to modern, transparent regulation aligned with the highest international standards.
