Juan Carlos has experience consulting on complex challenges in a variety of industries and sectors. He specializes in governance, strategic management, entrepreneurship, emerging technology, energy, mining industry and blockchain technology. Passionate about education and entrepreneurship, he studied mining engineering at Laurentian University and holds a BSc in Physics and Mathematics and a second BSc in Computer Science. After 15 years at the helm of a top consulting firm he took a break and studied at Harvard acquiring a Masters in Management. In 2015 he won first place in one of Harvard’s most competitive challenges, the real estate investment challenge with more than 120 participants. He is currently pursuing a PhD in international economics in Russia.

In relation to his humanitarian activity, at the age of 21, he helped raise over $3 million to rebuild a village in his home country of El Salvador. Since then, he has spent one month every year volunteering and helping to improve the lives of others in Canada and around the world.

Bilingual lawyer and notary with over a decade of experience in overseeing the Financial System, combining deep legal expertise with a strategic vision of the sector. Currently pursuing a Postgraduate Degree in Crypto, Blockchain & Decentralized Finance at the University of CEMA in Argentina, he is strengthening his knowledge of digital assets and financial innovation. His career includes over 15 years in university teaching, training future professionals in key areas of law, technology, and finance.

With an interdisciplinary approach, he masters legal, technological, accounting, and financial tools, enabling him to effectively assume executive roles related to development and innovation in the financial sector. Certified and specialized in Fintech by the University of Cambridge, with experience in financial technologies and their application in global markets, he contributes his expertise to the implementation of technological solutions in both local and international markets, driving the sector’s transformation. His ability to integrate regulation and technology positions him as a key figure in the evolution of the modern financial ecosystem.

Lawyer and notary with 12 years of experience in the private financial sector, providing legal advisory services to companies in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Brazil. Currently pursuing a Postgraduate Degree in Crypto, Blockchain & Decentralized Finance at the University of CEMA in Argentina, his career includes extensive knowledge in Corporate Governance, financial regulation, and the application of international standards, ensuring the operational efficiency of entities within the sector.

He has actively participated in drafting key regulations, being part of the private sector advisory board for the proposal of the mandatory insurance law. His academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Insurance Management awarded by Fundación MAPFRE and the University of Salamanca. In addition to Spanish, he is fluent in English and Portuguese, facilitating his work in international markets. His experience, strategic vision, and expertise in regulatory frameworks make him a key ally for companies seeking to strengthen their financial and operational structure in highly regulated environments.
