The regulatory and supervisory work carried out by the National Commission of Digital Assets (CNAD) continues to cross borders. The President of the CNAD, Juan Carlos Reyes, participated as a speaker at Blockchain Rio 24, the largest hub of innovation in blockchain technology and digital finance in Latin America, on Thursday, July 25.

President Reyes presented on the topic: “Why El Salvador?” where he explained the reasons that have positioned El Salvador as the country with the best regulation for crypto and digital assets in the Americas, and the second-best globally. The CNAD President highlighted the country as an unparalleled destination for digital asset investment, emphasizing the knowledge and understanding of this industry and its technology, which has enabled the CNAD to issue globally recognized regulations.

He also emphasized the leadership of President Nayib Bukele, whose adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender has created conditions for a new environment of financial freedom in El Salvador, friendly and conducive to new investments in crypto and digital assets.

Additionally, Director César Córdova participated as a guest speaker in one of the discussion panels, highlighting the new security environment in El Salvador, making it the safest country in the Americas. This, combined with the new digital asset regulations, further establishes El Salvador as an even more attractive and unmissable destination for foreign investment.

Blockchain Rio 24 took place in Brazil on July 24 and 25, bringing together leaders, authorities, experts, academics, and educators from both the digital assets sector and the real economy. The event focused on fostering an ecosystem of innovation, development, digital finance, and compliance through education and business generation.

The aim was to accelerate the development of the digital asset ecosystem through networking, business generation, and collaborative learning. El Salvador has an advantage in this area thanks to the CNAD’s efforts in leading the way towards digital transformation, shaping the future of our country.
