The National Commission of Digital Assets (CNAD) is the institution responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations in the digital assets market.
Our mission is to ensure market integrity and prevent any form of abuse, safeguarding the interests of investors and users against fraudulent and malicious activities within the digital assets ecosystem.
In our supervisory role, we ensure that regulated entities adopt a risk-based approach. This involves implementing a risk management system tailored to the nature, volume, and complexity of their activities, business lines, and available resources.
We execute a process of identifying, evaluating, mitigating, monitoring, and communicating various types of risks crucial to business operations, based on international best practices.
The risk matrix serves as a relevant tool for allocating supervisory resources to entities with higher risks. Based on the resulting risk, either normal supervision or intensified supervision is conducted.
