This Thursday, May 23 at 4:00 PM (Argentina time) and 1:00 PM (El Salvador time), a relevant event will be held at the University of CEMA Auditorium, co-organized by the NGO Bitcoin Argentina. The event will take place within the framework of the development of crypto regulation in Argentina: a panel discussion exchanging experiences with countries with a background in the digital ecosystem. The President of the National Digital Assets Commission of El Salvador, Juan Carlos Reyes, will present the evolution and current situation, as well as the perspectives on digital asset regulation in El Salvador and its potential interaction with other jurisdictions.
Additionally, Mr. Roberto E. Silva, President of the National Securities Commission, and Mr. Alberto Mendoza, Director of Supervision of the Financial Intelligence Unit, will present their projects in Argentina. They will analyze the current situation and challenges facing Argentina in this field, in light of the creation of the Virtual Asset Providers Registry and the regulation of VASPs as obligated entities.
This event represents a unique opportunity to delve into the regulatory experiences and challenges of El Salvador, a pioneering country in the adoption of Bitcoin as legal tender and with significant development in the field of digital assets. It will be a crucial space for the exchange of ideas and knowledge that will contribute to strengthening cooperation and the development of effective regulations in the digital asset landscape, both locally and internationally.
